Funding & Training Opportunities
One important mission of the UCR-CoHCCC U54 CARE Partnership is to develop the next generation of leaders in cancer research and drug development that address the health concerns of our Southern California communities (Los Angeles and Inland Empire). Our CARE Partnership provides cancer research training opportunities and mentorship to a broad group of biomedical students and early-stage scientists, including early career faculty at UCR and CoHCCC. Our partnership offers merit-based funding to faculty to conduct joint UCR-CoHCCC cancer research projects and, as part of these projects, salary support for trainees at all levels, from students to faculty, including funds to attend and present at scientific meetings.
